Xemplar Energy Corp. (XE:CA)

Xemplar Energy Corp. ("XE" on the TSX Venture Exchange, "E7R" on the Frankfurt and Berlin Exchange, "XEM" on the Namibian Exchange and "XEPRF" on the OTC Pink Sheets), a Canadian-based company focused on uranium exploration, seeks to develop its uranium projects in the south-western African nation of Namibia their full potential. The Company has assembled a team of geologists and directors with extensive experience in uranium exploration, raising exploration capital and building shareholder value through new acquisitions and exploration success.
The Company holds a 100% interest in uranium properties in the Engo Valley, Cape Cross, Aus-Garub and Warmbad regions of Namibia, whose combined licensed and pending licensed area covers nearly 10,000 KM², making it the largest uranium exploration license holder in the country. Xemplar Energy also holds interests in uranium and gold exploration property in the Corhill area of the Northwest Territories and a uranium exploration property in the Otish Mountain area in Quebec, Canada.
The primary focus of Xemplar Energy’s work in Namibia is the Warmbad project, where the Company has been actively engaged in an exploration drilling program in a province where the potential of a significant uranium occurrence is being developed. At Warmbad, the Company has identified 14 uraniferous alaskite bodies, which has since been re-defined as five larger alaskite bodies as some of the bodies have been found to be connected, with a Rossing type uranium occurrence. Xemplar Energy is well positioned financially with cash on hand and zero debt to carry out its exploration and drill programs on its Namibian assets.
With 441 nuclear reactors in 31 nations and 130 new reactors planned in the next 15 years, most energy analysts are predicting a global shortage of some 45,000 tons (100,000,000 pounds) over the next decade. Currently, there is an 83 million pound annual global deficit in uranium against production of 90 million pounds a year. The nuclear industry is the key driver of uranium demand, and the only viable energy supply with the potential to supply the world’s energy in an environmentally friendly way is nuclear energy.
Though uranium prices has experienced a recent decline in price, it has risen from a low of US $7/lb. in 2000 to a current price of over US $58 per pound. Xemplar Energy is strategically positioning itself to take advantage of the renewed importance of uranium exploration and the world's increasing demand for nuclear generated electricity.
