Numbers include reserves along with measured, indicated and inferred resources. American Creek has not confirmed the numbers published by other companies.

  • Contains part of the Hazelton Group formation
    • This group accounts for just 7% of the bedrock geology but has produced 30% of all metallic mineral occurrences in the entire province
  • This mineralization is further concentrated within the Stewart complex – a NW to SE trend that extends both north and south of Stewart BC
  • Our Electrum and Treaty Creek properties lie within the Stewart Complex - part of the Hazelton Group - part of the Golden Triangle

Leading industry analyst Lawrence Roulston recently wrote a comprehensive report on B.C.'s Golden Triangle including a review of American Creek Resources which can be found below.
Put a picture of the front page of the Resource Opportunities report here
The Snapshot:

  • The Treaty Creek property sits adjacent to over 130 million oz gold, 800 million oz silver, and 20 billion lbs. copper (inferred resources included)
  • There is no geological boundary between the tenures held by American Creek resources, Seabridge Gold, and Pretium Resources. Similar deposit types, along with similar grades at surface and at depth have been shown on all three properties
  • American Creek completed a 51% earn-in on Treaty Creek in September of 2009
  • Teuton (the optionor) failed to provide title and was sued by American Creek in December of 2010
  • The trial to confirm American Creek's controlling share of Treaty Creek is scheduled for April 2013

The Opportunity:

  • The effects of being in a law suit for two years have resulted in American Creek's share price no longer reflecting the mineral and logistical value of the Treaty Creek Property
  • This should change once American Creek gains title to the property
  • American Creek has opened negotiations with Seabridge Gold for tunnel rights through the Treaty Creek Property (see below for details)

Treaty Creek Lawsuit:

  • Teuton has claimed that American Creek Resources did not spend the required $5 million to complete the earn-in
  • Financial statements audited by Price WaterhouseCoopers show American Creek Resources spent over $6.4 million on Treaty Creek
  • The Mineral Titles branch of the British Columbia Ministry of Mines approved expenditures of over $6.4 million on Treaty Creek. This was reviewed to ensure how much money was spent, on what property it was spent, that the money spent falls within the definition of "exploration expenses", and that the amount spent is within the context of the market
  • American Creek states in its statement of claim that "Teuton has conducted itself… in a malicious, high-handed, arbitrary, and ...oppressive manner and ….in a deliberate, callous, egregious, and contumelious disregard of American Creek's rights…and that… Teuton's conduct has been, and continues to be, reprehensible and warrants rebuke"
  • American Creek has sued Teuton for title, 51% ownership, general damages, specific damages, and punitive damages
  • American Creek remains confident that the Court will confirm its 51% interest in the Treaty Creek claims

Treaty Creek Gold-Silver Property, British Columbia – 51% Joint Venture

The Treaty Creek property is not only adjacent to Seabridge's Kerr-Sulphurets-Mitchell deposits, but appears to form part of the same highly mineralized belt. The southern portion of the belt hosts a string of deposits including Seabridge's Kerr, Sulphurets, Mitchell, and Ironcap deposits along with Pretium's Brucejack and Snowfield deposits. The northern portion hosts American Creek's Eureka, GR2 and Copper Belle zones.

Seabridge Gold and Pretuim Resources deposits have outlined an astonishing 130 million ounces of gold, 800 million ounces of silver and 20 billion pounds of copper. Both companies are working on feasibility studies. Combined production from those two proposed mines is projected to exceed one million ounces annually, with a nearly equivalent value of silver, copper, and other metals. That would increase Canada's current gold production of 3.88 million ounces per year by 25%.

The combined metal value of these deposits, valued at today's prices, is worth $300 billion. This mineralization is hosted within a 12 kilometer circle, representing one of the greatest concentrations of metal value on the planet.

Proposed tunnel route (Seabridge) shown in green starting at the Mitchell deposit
There is no geological boundary between the Seabridge Gold, Pretium and American Creek properties. In fact there are many geological similarities between the Kerr-Sulphurets-Mitchell and Snowfield deposits and some of the deposits identified on the Treaty Creek Property.
American Creek has expended approximately $6.5 million on exploration including geologic mapping, sampling and drilling on the main target areas: the Copper Belle Zone, the GR2 Zone and the Eureka Zone. The majority of holes ended in mineralization indicative of a porphyry style of mineralization.

In 2009, a 9,500 metre drill program confirmed low-grade, bulk-tonnage gold-porphyry style mineralization on the Copper Belle Zone including 0.8 g/t Au over 241m including 1.44 g/t Au over 54m. The company has drilled many similar holes showing the similarity in deposit type and grade of deposits owned by Seabridge and Pretium. The program also confirmed the GR2 Zone has the potential for a VMS deposit with high grade lenses of:

  • Silver: 2,280 g/t Ag over 0.5m, 1,350 g/t Ag over 0.4m
  • Gold: 21.85 g/t Au over 1m, 17.29 g/t Au over 1.5m, 14.3 g/t Au over 0.9m
  • Base Metals: 0.31% Cu, 10.3% Pb, 3.63% Zn over 0.4m

In 2011a Magnetotelluric (MT) survey was conducted along a proposed tunnel route through Treaty Creek. MT surveys have been used by Seabridge and Pretium to help identify drill locations as it is very effective at identifying porphyry deposits.

The MT survey revealed a large conductive body at depth which has a prominent feeder extending to the location of the Copper Belle zone where another large conductive body appears on the survey. Through drilling, we already know that a bulk-tonnage type gold-copper-molybdenum porphyry exists (the Copper Belle) where this lowly resistive anomaly begins (where 241m @ 0.8 g/t Au was drilled).
MT sites ohm chartNo resource calculation has been made on the property and no work has been done since Teuton failed to transfer title in the fall of 2009. As operator, American Creek's intention is to advance the property once it obtains title.

The prefeasibility study for Seabridge's KSM project requires twin tunnels to run through the Treaty Creek Property in order to transfer ore to a processing plant and bring diesel and electrical power in.

Seabridge has opened negotiations with American Creek with the intent of gaining access through Treaty Creek. The proposed route for the tunnels lies in close proximity to the GR2 and the Copper Belle zones on the Treaty Creek property. American Creek confirms that access would be granted only on terms maximizing value to its shareholders including compensation for the full value of any mineral deposits sterilized by the proposed tunnels.

Electrum Gold-Silver Property, British Columbia – 100% owned

The Electrum property has a rich history with some of the highest grade hand mined ore in North America combined with excellent logistics. With past production, and recent discoveries on adjoining ground, the Electrum Property holds significant potential for discovery of an economic gold and silver deposit.

  • Located in the Golden Triangle of northwestern British Columbia, an area encompassing prolific mineral rich belts that hosts more than 43 past producing mines including Eskay Creek, Premier Silbak, Granduc and Big Missouri.
  • Located in a particularly rich valley with 4 past producing commercial mines with a 5th in the adjacent valley.
  • Includes the historic East Gold Mine that had intermittent small-scale production of approximately 46 tonnes of ore with grades averaging 1,661 grams of gold per tonne and 2,596 grams of silver per tonne.
  • Mineralization is believed to be very similar to the silver-gold-base metal veins responsible for the precious metal mineralization found in the Silbak Premier mine and the Big Missouri mines (located in same valley).
  • Exceptional gold and silver assays including 440 g/t gold with 400 g/t silver over 0.52m, with numerous silver intervals of 583g/t, 501 g/t, 420 g/t, 384 g/t in core, and surface samples of 80.96 g/t gold with 80,818 g/t silver, 694 g/t gold with 550 g/t silver, 54.77 g/t gold with 14,903 g/t silver, 615 g/t gold with 616 g/t silver.
  • Company believes the Electrum Property has the potential for high-grade gold-silver mineralization in epithermal breccia vein systems as well as the potential for bulk tonnage porphyry style molybdenum-gold mineralization.
  • Excellent logistics including road access, bulk tonnage shipping port located 40 km away, power located 20 km away, and supportive mining town 40 km away.
