Ashburton Ventures Inc. (ABR:CA)
Gold in Nevada; Deep Creek
The Deep Creek claims are located within the
prolific Carlin gold trend of northern Nevada, 56
kilometres northeast of Newmont’s (TSX:NMC)
Midas mine. Historical data was obtained on March
11th, 2010, including a resource estimate report
compiled in the late 1980’s on behalf of Corona
Corporation based on drilling data on the Deep Creek
property. The resource estimate of 1.1 million tons
containing 70,000 ounces of gold was determined along a
strike length of 457 meters and a depth of 122 meters.
Reserves from the same report included approximately
477,000 ounces of gold in 7.5 million tons extending
southward. The first phase of a geological mapping and
sampling program, completed in March, was positive with a
total of 46 float and outcrop samples having been collected.
Gold contents range from 0.01-8.58 ppm for breccias (10
samples), 0.01-4.24 ppm for stockwork/veins (15 samples),
and 0.02-3.07 ppm for sinters (5 samples). Further review of
the historical data, in combination with field mapping has
allowed Ashburton geologists to determine the drill collar
locations where better historical gold grades were intersected.
As part of the 2010 work program, the company will undertake a
drilling campaign to confirm the earlier drilling results. Based on
the historical data, further staking along the range front structure
is also underway, as is additional outcrop geochemistry.
Lithium in Nevada; Hy Claimes & Teels Marsh
Ashburton currently holds a total of 160 claims located
throughout Nevada, including 123 Placer claims at
Teels Marsh and an additional 37 “Hy” claims in both
the Churchill and Pershing Counties. Ashburton
has recently entered into an option agreement
with First Lithium Resources at Teels Marsh.
Gold in Yukon; White Gold
Ashburton’s White Gold project consists of 21 claims, all of
which adjoin Underworld’s (TSX.V:UW) Golden Saddle
property. A second phase of soil sampling has since tripled the
sampling density to 50-meter centers on lines spaced only 100
meters apart. The in-fill sampling detected several new
anomalies ranging up to 95 and 150 ppb Au. Following a
detailed review of the latest results over the winter, a
trenching program is anticipated for the 2010 summer
followed by a drilling program in the later summer.

Two rounds of surface work have uncovered an 1,100 meter long gold anomaly
Deep Creek Gold Project, Elko, Nevada: Option to earn 100 %.
Flagship Property formerly called “Millionaria” when in hands of Freeport and Franco Nevada
Ken Snyder (Ken Snyder Midas Mine founder) report indicates 70,000 proven and 477,000 probable oz/gold (non 43-101 compliant) in “range front structure”
Deal done with Newmont in September 2010 to acquire all historic data – focus can now shift to confirming this resource more accurately with the aid of historic maps, drill hole data, etc
New “Upper Vein” area surface sampling program has yielded results as high as 1,180 g/t AU and 828 g/t AG
Upper Vein now grown to 2,100 feet in length and up to 42 inches width
Second phase ground work have uncovered additional zones – awaiting assays from lab
Additional staking completed
A trenching and drilling program will be forthcoming
Ashburton geologists are extremely excited at how the Deep Creek project is unfolding with the discovery of this new zone called the Upper Vein area. While interpretation of the reams of historic data (acquired from Newmont Mining in September) regarding the range front fault system is almost complete, Ashburton is now also concentrating its efforts on understanding the significance and magnitude of the Upper Vein area.
While more results are pending, the latest round of assays from the Upper Vein include these highlights to date:
1,180 g/t gold and 828 g/t silver from a 2.37-kilogram vein chip sample;
355 g/t gold from a 1.04-kilogram vein chip sample;
94.3 grams per tonne gold from a 2.37-kilogram vein chip sample;
56.3 g/t gold from a 3.19-kilogram vein chip sample, 10 metres farther along the vein strike, with visible gold present;
40.1 g/t gold from a 2.10-kilogram vein chip sample, with visible gold present
10.8 g/t gold from a 1.5 meter channel sampleof country rock taken perpendicular to “Upper Vein”
