Lateral Lake Copper/Moly Property
On June 29, 2005, Solitaire Minerals Corp. announced the signing of an option agreement to earn a 100% interest in 8 mining claims in Webb Township, approximately 30 kms northeast of Dryden, Ontario.
The claims, referred to as the "Lateral Lake West" group, encompass a total of 82 mining units covering a southwest to northeast area of ground thought to contain the extension of the Lateral Lake Fault. Historic work on the property has shown the presence of Molybdenum and Copper within a biotite-quartz gneiss or pegmatitic dykes. Recorded grab samples (as filed with the Ontario Ministry of Mining) shows trace values of 4% Mo, with assays of 0.12% Cu and 0.028% Mo. Summit Lake Project, British Columbia
Solitaire Minerals Corporation (TSX-V symbol: SLT) (Solitaire) has entered into an option agreement whereby it can earn up to 100% interest in two property units collectively named the Summit Lake Project totaling 5,458 acres in northwestern British Columbia, Canada. The 2,948-acre Summit "A" property unit immediately borders the eastern boundary of Imperial Metal Corporation’s Red Chris property. Mystery Island Property, Northwest Territories
Mystery Island IOCG Property is located in the Great Bear Lake area of the Northwest Territories, approximately 430 kilometers north of Yellowknife, NWT.
The property comprises of 12 claim blocks with a total area of approximately 21,830 acres. This property adjoins the Alberta Star Development Corp. (TSX-V symbol: ASX) project which is being explored for iron-oxide, copper, gold, silver and uranium (IOCG) targets.
The Olympic Dam or iron oxide-copper-gold (IOCG) model is proposed as the main exploration target for the Mystery Island property in this part of the Great Bear magmatic zone. The Olympic Dam deposit at Roxby Downs in the Gawler craton of southwest Australia consists of dike-like, hematite-rich diatreme breccias in granite and felsic volcanics, and has a reported resource of 2.32 billion tons of 1.6 per cent copper, 0.5 gram per tonne gold, 3.5 grams per tonne silver and 0.4 kilogram per ton U3O8.
