Threegold Resources Inc. (THG:CA)
Threegold Resources distinguishes itself by applying innovative exploration concepts to discover traditional metals.
Threegold Resources is among the most recent junior mineral exploration companies to have emerged on the Québec scene.
Our mission is to develop the mineral potential of the Lemieux Dome project (copper, zinc, lead and silver) as well as the Adanac (gold) and Mercier (copper and rare earth element) projects.
Threegold Resources boasts a team of experienced exploration professionals with an eye on the future.
Lemieux Dome Project
The Lemieux Dome project consists of four adjacent properties: Vital (16 continuous mining titles),Gasse (two claim blocks for a total of 24 claims), the Appalaches option (Mont-de-l'Aigle; 172 claims), and Cascapedia (132 designated cells). These claims cover a surface area of 14,957 hectares (approximately 150 km2) in the Lemieux Township on NTS map sheet 22B16, just south of Parc National de la Gaspésie and about equal distances from Ste-Anne-des-Monts, Murdochville and New Richmond. Adanac Project
The Adanac Project is located in the core of the Abitibi, on a splay of the renowned Cadillac - Larder Lake break. The project consists of 51 staked claims for an area of 1740 hectares. Three (3) historical shafts used for small scale gold production are found on the claims including the Adanac shaft used to produce an undisclosed quantity of gold in the 1930s.
Threegold is now ready to launch its first diamond drilling program following extensive background work that includes 3D modelling of the available data to visualise the mineralization, regional and detailed Mobile Metal Ion soil geochemistry TM (MMI), local geochemical Soil Gas Hydrocarbon TM (SGH) survey and a complete airborne geophysical aeromagnetic - electromagnetic coverage. These surveys outlined 6 high-priority targets that will be tested during a 4000 metres diamond drilling program slated to commence in September of 2009. Click here for more information.
Mercier Project
The Mercier project covers an alkaline intrusive body trending northeast and extending over approximately 6 kilometres in length by 2 to 3 kilometres in width. The property is comprised of 61 designated cells covering some 3865ha located some 130km East of Senneterre in NTS map sheets 32B11 and 32B12.
The intrusive complex was initially discovered during a regional airborne magnetic survey along the Grenville-Superior transition zone. Quebec Cartier Mining Co. staked a bi-lobate area characterized by a high magnetic signature and subsequent drilling outlined zones with high magnetite content. Rio Tinto Canadian Exploration Ltd. optioned the project in 1974 and completed soil geochemistry, ground geophysics and a drill fence across the southern lobe of the intrusive outlining copper mineralization grading up to 0.6% over 1.5 metres. It is important to note that of the 3 diamond drill holes completed by Rio Tinto, only the last was sampled over selected intervals and assayed for copper. Click here for more information.
