Rapidly growing uranium resources in South America

U3O8 Corp. (TSX: UWE; OTCQX: UWEFF) is a Canadian company focused on exploration and resource expansion of uranium and associated commodities in South America – a promising new frontier for uranium development. Led by a proven, discovery-orientated team, U3O8 Corp. is transitioning into a mid-tier uranium company. We have rapidly grown our NI 43-101 uranium resources across projects in Guyana, Argentina and Colombia as well as adding resources of phosphate, vanadium, rare earths and other metals. We have reported positive metallurgical results from all these projects, and preliminary economic studies are underway on the initial resources defined in Argentina and Colombia. And we have a clear path aimed at resource expansion towards 70-80 million pounds (“mlb”)1 of uranium.

Clear exploration growth plans

Since 2011, U3O8 Corp. has grown its uranium resources nearly 7-fold to join a small group of companies with uranium resources in the 50mlb range and is demonstrating the economic viability of its projects.

Berlin Project, Colombia: A High-Value, Multi-Commodity Deposit – our flagship asset offers large size potential:

  • NI 43-101 Resources – 1.5mlb uranium Indicated and Inferred resources of 19.9mlb uranium, 97mlb vanadium and 0.8 million tonnes of phosphate plus rare earths and other metals defined on 3km of a 10.5km mineralized trend.
  • Resource Growth – Exploration drilling is underway to outline the overall size of the entire 10.5km trend while infill drilling is planned to add to the current resources.
  • Positive Metal Recoveries – A simple metallurgical process efficiently and effectively extracts the mix of elements including uranium – 97%, phosphate – 97%, vanadium – 79% and rare earths (yttrium – 96%, neodymium – 82%). A scoping study is in progress for an initial estimate of the project economics.

Laguna Salada Project, Argentina: Uranium-Vanadium Deposit with Low-Cost Mining Potential – near-surface, free-digging deposit that requires no blasting:

  • NI 43-101 Resources – uranium resource of 6.3mlb Indicated and 3.8mlb Inferred plus vanadium resources of 57mlb Indicated and 27mlb Inferred. Exploring extensions of the project to drive resource growth.
  • Positive Metal Recoveries – Simple and inexpensive screening increases grades 3-11x, leading to 620-670ppm head grade for uranium. Alkaline leach extracts 90-94% uranium, 32-51% vanadium. A scoping study is also underway.

Kurupung Project, Guyana: Emerging into a Large Uranium District – similar size potential to peer deposits that typically contain 60-130mlb of uranium:

  • NI 43-101 Uranium Resources – 8.4mlb Indicated and 7.7mlb Inferred on four structures. Another six mineralized areas ready for infill drilling. Investigating other targets to add to our inventory for future resource growth.
  • Positive Metal Recoveries – initial 82% uranium recovery.

(1) 70-80mlb global uranium resource goal – Based on a conceptual target of 32-36Mt at 0.09% to 0.11% U3O8 (~70-80mlb) on the 10.5km Berlin trend, a target of 9-11Mt at 100ppm to 150ppm U3O8 (~20-25mlb) in the Laguna Salada area and a conceptual target of 13-18Mt at 0.08% to 0.10% U3O8 (~30-35mlb) in the Kurupung including the current NI 43-101 resource estimates. Potential quantity and grades are conceptual in nature. There has been insufficient exploration to define a mineral resource on the above conceptual targets, and it is uncertain if further exploration will increase the mineral resources on the company’s projects in Guyana, Argentina and Colombia.
